II Minh: Missing You
Frozen in time,
my face no longer shines.
Tear streaked and white,
wrinkles creased above my eyes.
I feel so alone sometimes.
It's like the world's against me,
restraining me from my wishes,
keeping me back from my goals.
It seems as if someone's pushing down.
Their pressure is never released..
I feel so alone tonight.
I'm talking to you,
but not about what I feel.
I'm talking to you,
but all my words are gone.
I'm talking to you,
but my heart's missing you.
II Minh: I Love You
Staring out the window,
I thought of you.
I remembered what you said,
and prayed that it's still true.
My dreams were fulfilled,
once you entered my life.
You chased away quickly,
every little bit of strife.
I knew I was in love,
after your innocent kiss.
My mind knows only now,
whatever is bliss.
I'm so happy today,
about you being with me,
for when I'm around you,
I feel so very free.
Those three words we said,
"I love you,"
forever I know proudly,
that'll stay true.
Within Oneself True identity lies within
Never to be seen by an ordinary person
No secrets revealed
No feelings shown
Only emptiness
There is a person within a person
An extraordinary individual
Emotionally trapped and almost suffocating
Waiting to be freed
It boils and causes burning of the soul
It hurts to hold everything in
No one to confide in
No one able to realize what is really there
It is disguised by merriment
To deceive those who don't understand
Only within ourselves will we know who it is that lives inside us
It is our duty to search for it
Most do not find what they are looking for
But then there are some that do
Those have experienced the fulfillment of life
To find the true being of themselves Be with You Sometimes I wonder
Why I even feel this way
I just want you to be mine
I'd wait forever for that day
You think I may be shy
And I know it's true
I would change my ways
Just to be with you
Whenever you walk by
I fall into a trance
All that I ask for
Is just one chance
I like you so much
Believe me, I do
I just wish that one day
You would feel the same too
If only you liked me,
