What is Asian Pride?

Today everyone is talking about Asian Pride. But ask yourself, what is Asian pride? Is it going around thinking that you're better than everyone else just because your Asian? What I don't get is: Some ppl "say" they have Asian Pride when they don't even know their own culture. Asian Pride is respect for your own heritage and where you came from. It's an understanding of your own roots and a part is who are you. It is going around wearing yellow and singing the "Got Rice" song?

What does the fact that you drive a Japanese car or watch some anime have to do with showing your pride. I believe it's wonderful, I love it too. I love those cars, but so what? Why does everything have to have a stereotype? I know many ppl and see a lot of them online who are the biggest "ViEt/fLiP/KhMeR/MiEn/Etc PrYde" who even can't write or read in their own language.

Now after reading what I have said, some of you might be thinking that I am a hypocrite, which I'm not. After all, this is an "Asian site". But do you ever see my room full of "aZn PrYdE" stuff? Even see me making a big deal about being Asian? I am perfectly happy the way I am. This whole Asian Pride shouldn't discriminate against other ethnicity and hope the world turn into a better place.
